Commission a Portrait

​To order a pet portrait please contact me via the contact form on this website or email me at petpawtraitsbynicola@gmail.com. Please let me know the portrait size you would like and whether it is a single or double portrait. A standard portrait will include the head and neck of your pet. If you would like a full body portrait or have any other specific requirements please include this in your email and I will provide a personalised quote.

Please send me several photos of your pet and we can discuss and agree on the best shot for your portrait. It's lovely to see a selection of photos so that I can get a sense of your pet's character! Ideally, the reference photo will be taken in natural light, close up and straight on at your dog's eye level. The quality of the photo is very important and being able to see the fine details of your pet's eyes and fur will enable me to produce the best portrait.

In order to secure your commission booking I request a £50 non-refundable deposit. I will send you an invoice from my website for the deposit amount. I will give you an estimated timeline for completion of the portrait - if you have a particular deadline in mind please let me know. Once the portrait is complete, I will send you a photo to review followed by the invoice for the outstanding balance of the portrait price. Once payment has been received, your portrait will be sent to you. I use the Royal Mail signed for and tracked service. Postage to destinations in the UK is included in the portrait price. If you are based outside the UK I will provide a quote for the cost of shipping which will be added to the portrait price.
